Another semester has come and gone

The time is here, finals are over and the semester is done. While not as busy as the spring, the fall season had plenty of excitement. Check out a few of the previous post from track nats and MTB conference for an idea of how racing went this past semester.

As the seasons and semesters change, so do the faces of MSU cycling. Though we are sad to see them go, we are proud to say that Danny Robertson, Fidel Goytia, and Sean Brown are all graduating. We are going to miss these guys, on and off the bikes.

Ask anyone on the team and they will tell you that Fidel is one of the kindest guys on the team. Though soft spoken, Fidel was ready to attack. An all around athlete, he participated in road, mountain, and track events on the bike. In 2012 he road into gold as the South Central Collegiate Cycling Conference mens category B champion.

Danny Robertson has been a major influence on the teams track program. Excelling as a sprinter, Danny claimed multiple medals at this past years collegiate track nationals. Weeks later he went on to elite nationals were he claimed even more. Danny has been a strong anchor for the team in many events and will be missed for his emphatic “gift of gab.”

And where would we be without the one and only Sean Brown…. it’s a good thing he just took his GRE and will be re-enrolling for his graduate work at MSU. Look out SCCCC. The Sean Brown will be back for more.

Seriously though, we are really proud of the guys and we wish them the best in whichever endeavor they pick next. Let’s give them a big round of applause, even if they can’t hear it through the computer.

The graduation ceremony will be Saturday December 15th at 10am in the Kay Yeager Coliseum
